On November 8, a joint session of the Rectors' Conference of the Republiic of Srpska and the Conference of Universities of Serbia (KONUS) was held in the Rectorate of the University of East Sarajevo, where it was agreed to move to a higher level of cooperation when it comes to teaching and the teaching process, which was also attended by the director Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska prof. On that occasion, she presented the Agency's experiences in the accreditation process, stressing that certain institutions have already entered the third cycle of accreditation, and that a significant number of study programs have been accredited. Rector Kulic thanked all the public universities in Serbia, which have been selflessly and sincerely helping the University and East Sarajevo for 32 years, and pointed out that today's joint session is one of the first steps in the implementation of the Declaration of the All-Serbian Parliament.
"Without them, we could neither start nor survive, nor would we achieve obvious results in the higher education of Republika Srpska. In the coming period, we will pay even more attention to scientific and research projects, both on the national and international level", stressed Rector Kulic.
He singled out the financial support of the Government of Vojvodina for a number of projects, which are jointly implemented by universities from Novi Sad, Banjaluka and East Sarajevo, adding that this is clearly seen from a large number of published scientific works.
"It is our goal and desire that these joint meetings of the Rector's Conference be held at least once a year and that both public universities from the Republic of Srpska become associate members of the Rector's Conference of Serbia, of course without the right to vote and decide, but with the right to discuss and agree on increasing our cooperation to an even higher level", emphasized Rector Kulic.
Rector Djokic expressed his sincere satisfaction with today's event, emphasizing that the rectors' conferences of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska bring together 27 universities that have a plan to work together, establish better cooperation, to jointly participate in many projects and that this cooperation between Serbia and the Republic of Srpska Srpska at this academic level should be as successful as possible.
