The Sector for Accreditation and International Cooperation organizes and implements the accreditation procedure of higher education institutions and study programs in accordance with the Standards for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions and Study Programs and valid laws and bylaws in the field of quality assurance, prepares and proposes Standards for accreditation of higher education institutions and study programs, laws and bylaws in the field of quality assurance, monitors the List of experts for quality assessment and audit and makes recommendations on accreditation of higher education institutions and study programs, monitors and updates the List of reviewers, holds trainings of experts and reviewers involved in external evaluation, prepares and proposes to the Director for the establishment and maintenance of the quality assurance system of the higher education institution, monitors the development of international standards in the field of quality assurance in higher education, prepares the Annual plan for accreditation of study programs, proposes reviewers to the director, forms a preliminary proposal of the composition of the Commission of Experts for Quality Assessment and Audit and makes recommendations on accreditation of higher education institutions and study programs for the Accreditation Council, coordinates the preparation of accreditation reports, monitors the process of implementing recommendations given in the letter of expectation for the institution or study program; subsequent activities of institutions in the period between two accreditations, conducts the process of external independent periodic assessment of the internal quality assurance system-audit, conducts the process of thematic evaluation, cooperates with all stakeholders in the field of quality assurance in higher education, collects and processes data on higher education and other systems with which higher education is connected, maintains and constantly improves the quality assurance system of the Agency, proposes improvements of the quality infrastructure in higher education of the Republic of Srpska, undertakes activities on international recognition of the Agency. Establishes cooperation with international networks and associations within the scope of the Agency, as well as agencies for quality assurance and accreditation in higher education from the region and the world, coordinates the Agency's participation in domestic and international projects, prepares thematic analyzes within the Agency's work and coordinates internal processes and external evaluations of the Agency's work.
