The workshop "Implementation of the Lisbon Convention on Recognition in Bosnia and Herzegovina - ILIRIC" was organized by the Center for Information and Recognition of Documents in the Field of Higher Education (CIP) in Neum from May 30, 2023 to June 2, 2023 within the project "ILIRIC". The conference was attended by representatives of the Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, representatives of other authorities responsible for the recognition, as well as by representatives of higher education institutions.
At the workshop, an analysis of the regulations in the field of recognition of foreign higher education qualifications was presented, a model regulation for the recognition of foreign higher education qualifications was presented, as well as accompanying forms needed for easier obtaining of information in the evaluation procedures of foreign higher education qualifications.
The Workshop also discussed the need to introduce micro-certificates into the higher education system, the way to recognize them, as well as the recognition of qualifications for people with insufficient documentation or no documentation - refugees. A special part of the workshop was dedicated to examples of good practice in the field of recognition of higher education qualifications, and the representative of the Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska held a presentation on the topic of professional recognition of foreign higher education qualifications in the Republic of Srpska, as an example of good practice of recognition of higher education qualifications in BiH.
The continuation of the implementation of the ILIRIC project will be realized through a conference scheduled for October this year in Mostar.
