The expert team engaged in the project of ranking higher education institutions in Republic of Srpska presented a detailed set of criteria for ranking higher education institutions in Republic of Srpska at a seminar held in Banja Luka on November 9, 2021.
The Minister of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of Republic of Srpska, Srdjan Rajcevic, stated that Srpska will soon have exact data on the quality of its higher education institutions for the first time.
Minister Rajcevic pointed out that this will be possible thanks to the project of ranking higher education institutions, which is being implemented by the Agency for Higher Education of Republic of Srpska.
"Through this project, we wanted to achieve several things, among which is to encourage competition among higher education institutions, in order to achieve the best possible quality in this sector," said Rajcevic.

He emphasized that the project will also bring a reference list, where it will be clearly seen which higher education institutions meet the criteria.
"That list will be an additional incentive for high school students who will choose their studies, but also for the benefit of employers, because for the first time they will get a list through which they will be able to choose potential candidates for employment," said Rajcevic.
The director of the Agency for Higher Education of Republic of Srpska, Biljana Vojvodic, stated that since the beginning of the project, the Agency, together with the expert team, previously held three seminars for higher education institutions within the project of ranking higher education institutions in Republic of Srpska.
"This fourth seminar is dedicated to the presentation of ranking criteria, as a key segment in the ranking of higher education institutions. The criteria refer to three components - scientific-teaching process, scientific-research work and the third mission of the university, ie cooperation with the economy and the wider social community ", explained Vojvodic.
The expert ranking team works in the following composition:
Prof. Darko Petkovic, PhD, from the University of Zenica (team leader),
Prof. Mile Dzelalija, PhD, from the University of Split, Croatia
Prof. Pero Sipka, PhD, from the Center for Evaluation and Evaluation, Belgrade, Serbia and
Prof. Tadeja Jere Jakulin, PhD from the University of Primorska, Koper, Slovenia.
