Brussels 16-17.10.2024. - Representatives of the Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska (AVORS) participated in the second workshop within the SEQA ESG 2 project, organized by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA).
The workshop where the Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area ESG 2.4 "Peer review experts" were discussed was held in Brussels (Belgium) on October 16 and 17. Participants in the workshop were project partners, namely agencies from Azerbaijan (TKTA), Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska (HEA BiH and AVORS), Serbia (NAT) and Ukraine (NAQA), as well as experts from Austria (AQ AUSTRIA) and of Belgium (VLUHR), Slovenia (NAKVIS), Portugal (A3ES) and the European Student Union (ESU).

As mentioned, the workshop discussed the adequate selection, training and preparation of experts who are involved in the processes of external evaluation of the quality of higher education institutions and study programs.
On the first day of the workshop, the representatives of AQ AUSTRIA, VLUHR and A3ES presented their models of selection, training and preparation of experts for external quality evaluation processes in the first part. In the second part of the day, according to the established schedule, the participants were divided into groups with the task of creating an ideal model of expert training.
On the second day of the training, in the first part, ESU representatives presented how students from the aforementioned organization participate in external quality evaluation processes. After that, the NAKVIS representative presented how artificial intelligence can be used for various purposes in the field of development and quality assurance in higher education.
In the second part of the day, according to the established schedule, the groups that had the task of creating an ideal model of expert training presented their models in front of experts from AQ AUSTRIA, VLUHR and A3ES and the ENQA Secretariat.
During the workshop, ENQA representatives presented challenges from the action plans of the countries participating in the project, all in order to identify further steps to improve the quality assurance system of all participants. In addition, the third workshop out of the planned four was announced and will be organized at the end of November in Brussels.
