Assistant Director for Accreditation and International Cooperation Duska Radmanovic participated in the webinar "Equality and Diversity in External Quality Assurance in Higher Education" organized by the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria.
The webinar was dedicated to issues of gender equality, but also to equality on all other grounds, including national and religious affiliation and equality for people with disabilities.
At the webinar, the representative of the Swedish Higher Education Authority, Thomas Öst, presented Sweden's experiences in gender equality in higher education quality assurance, emphasizing that the issue is of great importance in this country and that gender equality requirements are embedded in the accreditation criteria. He pointed out that five study programs lost their accreditation due to this criterion.
Representatives of the Irish Quality and Qualifications Agency, Mairead Boland, Bryan Meguiere, Marie Mattimoe and Orlaith O’Loughlin talked about diversity in evaluation and review panels.
