On December 29, 2021, a representative of the Agency for Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska attended an online workshop on procedures for recognition of foreign higher education qualifications. The workshop was organized by the Center for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CIP). The online workshop was attended by representatives of higher education institutions and authorities responsible for the recognition of foreign higher education qualifications.
In the first part of the workshop, the participants were introduced in more detail to the ENIC / NARIC network (European Network of Information Centers in the European Region / National Academic Recognition Information Centers in the European Union), the management structure of the Network and its purpose. The main principles of the Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region - the Lisbon Convention as well as its accompanying documents were briefly presented.
In the second part of the workshop Head of the CIP Information Department, pointed out through ten practical examples the challenges that the CIP faces in recognition procedures. He spoke about the recognition of study periods, cross-border education, ie joint qualifications, as well as the recognition of non-formal education.
