Head of the Department for Quality Assurance and International Cooperation, Duska Radmanovic, MSc, participated from 11th to 13th December in a series of workshops within the framework of the “Development of Management Skills 2019-2020” in Bucharest.
The program is organized by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and consists of three three-day workshops, the first of which was carried out in cooperation with the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Austria and the second in cooperation with the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education in Romania.
Experts from different countries in Europe and the world covered topics such as:
- Current challenges facing quality assurance agencies,
- Development of management skills in quality assurance agencies - the need for change,
- Competing values Framework (CVF) in the context of organizational culture and leadership roles, etc.
In both workshops, participants had the opportunity to interview the directors of the Austrian and Romanian agencies, as well as part of the management team, to learn about leadership styles and organizational culture at these institutions.
Part of the time spent in the workshop was devoted to developing the competencies of participants in the field of leadership, as well as managing group projects.
Mrs. Radmanovic is part of the project preparation team related to the active involvement of students in external quality assessment where they reviewed legislation and procedures applicable in different countries in this area based on the example of seven agencies.
The program includes 24 representatives of quality assurance agencies in higher education from 16 countries in Europe.
The Higher Education Accreditation Agency of Republika Srpska has been an associate member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education ENQA since April 2018 and is preparing for external evaluation for the purpose of full membership in this association.
