The Agency for Higher Education of the Republika Srpska (AHERS) was established by the Decision of the Government of the Republika Srpska No.: 04/1-012-2-273/11 of 24.02.2011 under the name of the Public Institution Agency for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions of the Republika Srpska. By the Law on Quality Assurance in Higher Education of the Republika Srpska, the Public Institution Agency for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions of the Republika Srpska was transformed into the Agency for Higher Education of the Republika Srpska as its legal successor.

AHERS Vision:
A higher education system of the Republic of Srpska that is recognized and acknowledged in the European Higher Education Area and beyond, and in which a quality culture is constantly being built and improved. The academic community and all participants in the quality assurance processes of higher education support a quality culture and actively participate in the quality assurance system.
